Construction is set to begin on the long-neglected Oban Ekang Road after Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong successfully secured funding from the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The project, awarded to Faith Plant Global, aims to transform the road, which has been in a state of disrepair for years.
The commencement of the much-anticipated project was officially marked today with a flag-off ceremony. Representing Senator Ekpenyong at the event was Hon. Oqua Edet Oqua.
The road’s rehabilitation is expected to significantly improve transportation and connectivity for the local communities that rely on this vital route.
