The Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Cross River State and Cross River State Focal Person for the Presidential Palliative Grant Scheme domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Prince Michael Nku Abuo, recently celebrated his 40th birthday anniversary with the luncheon of five books. Shortly after the symposium, the young Abuo expressed his profound gratitude to all who made the occasion a success.
The event was attended by notable dignitaries, family and friends who gathered to honor the milestone that was held at the Pearl Ball Room of the Transcorp Hotels and Suites in Calabar.


In a message of appreciation, Prince Abuo began by thanking God, whom he described as “the All Knowing and Sufficient God,” for his grace and inspiration. He extended special gratitude to His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, the Governor of Cross River State and Right Honorable Peter Odey, the Deputy Governor for their significant support.
He praised the state Deputy Governor for his role in the book’s unveiling and for attending the event in person.
Prince Abuo’s message also pointed the contributions of several key stakeholders. He acknowledged Professor Michael Okom of the University of Calabar for his support and timely interventions. He also thanked Senator Jarigbe Agom for his donation toward the book launch. Representatives from the Nigerian Police, DSS and the Nigerian Army were also thanked for their presence.
Prince Abuo also expressed appreciation to various people and organizations, including Mr. and Mrs. Etim, Mommy Akobi, Mrs. Ajibike, Mr. and Mrs. James Henshaw Jnr, Dr. Uquetan, Chief Etim, Professor Chike and James Okpilaya for writing the foreword for his book. He also thanked Zenith Bank, Sterling Bank, AIT, NTA and other media outlets for their coverage.
He particularly acknowledged the support of the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) a peer group of young minds, dedicated volunteers and classmates from SPC and NYSC who traveled from across the state to attend.
Prince Abuo concluded by thanking everyone who sent well wishes from both within and outside the country and those who attended in person. He ended with a hopeful message, stating, “This is a new beginning of greater things for me and you all”, he noted.
