UNICROSS Vice-Chancellor Joins Students’ Week Carnival Parade As Activities Enters Day 4

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) is celebrating its 2025 Students’ Week with a vibrant carnival parade on July 31, 2025. Students from various faculties on the Calabar campus, adorned in creative costumes and fashionable attire, participated in the colorful event.

The parade was a highlight of the fourth day of the week-long celebration. Adding to the excitement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francisca Bassey, joined the students as they marched around the campus.

In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor assured the students of her administration’s commitment to their welfare, pledging to improve the university’s intra-campus road network and provide free Wi-Fi access on campus.

Students from faculties including Communication and Media Studies, Education, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Architecture were represented in the Calabar parade. Similar carnival parades were also held simultaneously at the university’s satellite campuses in Ogoja and Okuku, which house the Faculties of Management Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences and Agriculture.
