After a distinguished quarter-century career behind the microphone and in front of the camera, veteran broadcaster Kenzy Ngupar has officially announced his retirement from the media industry to transition into administrative leadership.
Ngupar, a household name known for his work with the Plateau Radio and Television Corporation (PRTVC), shared the news of his departure via a heartfelt statement on his Facebook page, marking the end of an era in regional broadcasting.
Reflecting on his journey, Ngupar expressed a deep sense of fulfillment, noting that he leaves the profession as a “happy person.” He credited his time in the media for shaping his identity and providing a platform to connect with diverse personalities across the globe.
“I have given my best to broadcasting and I am satisfied,” Ngupar stated. “While I will miss the microphone and the screen, I am bowing out with gladness and a sense of total fulfillment.”
During his announcement, Ngupar extended his gratitude to PRTVC for the unwavering support provided throughout his tenure, colleagues & family for being the backbone of his success in the “pen profession” and the audience for allowing him to impact their lives over the last two decades.
While he is stepping away from the studio, Ngupar isn’t slowing down. He confirmed that he is moving toward “other challenging responsibilities” within the sphere of administration, aiming to apply his decades of experience to new professional frontiers.
Ngupar’s exit marks a significant shift for the Plateau State media landscape, where he has been a consistent voice for 25 years.
