Lagos, Nigeria – The Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, was a hub of excitement on Sunday as Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong hosted the second edition of the Troost-Ekong Foundation Charity Match.
The event, themed #PlayForPurpose, successfully brought together a dazzling array of football stars and prominent Nigerian celebrities to raise funds and awareness for underprivileged children.
The highly anticipated match underscored the unifying power of football, drawing an impressive lineup of talent.
Among those who graced the pitch and attended were football luminaries such as Victor Osimhen, Obafemi Martins, Victor Boniface, and Stanley Nwabali. They were joined by notable figures from the entertainment industry, including AY Makun, Broda Shaggi, Mayorkun, Odumodublvck and Gilmore. Even Governor Sanwo-Olu was among the attendees, highlighting the event’s broad appeal.
The Troost-Ekong Foundation aims to leverage such events to support and empower disadvantaged youth, using football as a tool for positive change and community development.
