SSDC took its development conversation closer to the grassroots as the Bayelsa State Representative on the Commission, Hon. Charles Zuofa, joined by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bayelsa State, engaged the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council.
The engagement brought together HRM King Bobaraye Dakolo, Chairman, Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council; HRM King (Barr.) Malla Sasimi (JP); HRM King Jonathan Kubor; Prince Iwefa Aganaba, and other traditional leaders.
The message was clear: meaningful development must listen to the communities it is intended to serve. The discussions therefore provided an opportunity to hear directly from the traditional institution on community priorities, development needs and areas where collaboration can deliver lasting impact.
For the SSDC, our royal fathers are important partners in building trust, promoting peace, mobilising communities and ensuring greater ownership of development interventions.
