The South-South Development Commission (SSDC), through its Delta State Representative on the Board, Dr. Charles Efe Emukowhate, held a stakeholders’ engagement with women groups, entrepreneurs, market associations and community leaders across Delta State.
The engagement provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on women’s economic advancement, entrepreneurship, access to empowerment opportunities and greater participation in regional development.
In attendance were Mrs. Asiyai Patricia Ekiyor, Mrs. Adesuwa Christian, Mrs. Oshilim Ejiro, Director, Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Evelyn Endakwe and Mrs. Faith Obeuobe.
The Commission continues to prioritise partnerships that connect women at the grassroots with sustainable livelihood opportunities, strengthen small businesses and ensure that development initiatives reflect the needs and aspirations of women across the region.
