ARISE IIP is partnering with Ogun State to build what is expected to be Africa’s—and possibly the world’s—largest garment factory, worth between US $2.0 billion (₦3 trillion) and US $2.25 billion (₦3.375 trillion).
Located at the Special Agro‑Processing Zone in Iperu/Ilisan (part of Airport City), the facility will process up to 1,000 tonnes of cotton daily and produce nearly 4.4 million garments per day.
The project could directly employ up to 150,000 workers and indirectly create hundreds of thousands more across the textile, logistics, and agricultural sectors.
Already, 10,000 hectares have been earmarked for cotton farming under an outgrower scheme with guaranteed offtake.
Groundbreaking is planned for September 2025, with the project being jointly managed by a dedicated team from ARISE IIP and Ogun State.
This marks a turning point for Nigeria’s textile industry, pushing the nation toward value-add in agriculture, job creation, and export-led growth.
