The road to Carnival Calabar 2025, often dubbed “Africa’s Biggest Street Party,” hit a major milestone with the successful completion of the official balloting ceremony. The event determined the parade order for the seven highly competitive bands set to interpret this year’s evocative theme, “Traces of Time.”
The lineup, which dictates the sequence of the vibrant procession, was officially unveiled, signaling that preparations are now in full swing for the massive cultural spectacle.
The official 2025 parade order is as follows; Diamond Band, Calas Vegas Band, Freedom Band, Bayside Band, Passion 4 Band, Seagull Band, Masta Blasta Band.
Each band is now tasked with transforming the abstract theme, “Traces of Time,” into a breathtaking display of movement, music, and art. The bands are expected to showcase their interpretations through elaborate, innovative costumes, electrifying street performances, and creative storytelling that celebrates the depth of culture, history, and the human experience.
The successful balloting has heightened anticipation for what is expected to be another unforgettable and fiercely contested edition of the renowned Carnival Calabar.
