Enugu State Completes South East’s First State-Owned Road Asphalt Plant

The Enugu State Government, under Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, has completed the construction of the first state-owned asphalt plant in the South East region.

The new facility is a significant step towards accelerating the state’s ambitious road infrastructure agenda.

The plant, which has a production capacity of 160 tons of high-quality asphalt per hour, is capable of producing over 2,000 tons daily.

According to the state government, the new plant is critical to achieving its vision of constructing more than 10,000 kilometers of roads within the set timeframe. The facility is expected to reduce road construction costs for the state and provide a new source of revenue through the sale of asphalt to other states in the region.
