The Governor’s remarks came during a key meeting on November 22, 2023, at the Local Government Secretariat in Ikot Edibon, which was described by participants as a “homecoming event.”

Governor Eno assured the residents of Nsit Ubium that the Ibom Deep Sea Port project remains a top priority, stating that the required documentation, supported by the Federal Government, is progressing steadily.

“The process of securing qualified investors is ongoing,” Governor Eno explained. “We urge the public to remain patient. This vital project will soon become a reality that will benefit the entire State and position us as a major economic hub.”

In a significant announcement for the local community, the Governor unveiled plans for the construction of dual carriageways within the Local Government Area. These key routes are slated to connect: Nung Udoe to East West Road, Nung Udoe to Afaha Nsit and Afaha Offiong to Itreto.

Governor Eno used the gathering to encourage the people of Nsit Ubium to maintain their alignment with the APC, noting that the State is now “positioned closer to the centre of national politics.”

The event, which focused on strengthening unity and party structures, saw stakeholders commending the Governor’s strategic approach to development.

Honourable Alfred Charles, the Chairman of Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, welcomed the Governor and praised him for the visible development projects already delivered across the area.

In their remarks, APC Chapter Chairman, Honourable Johnson Udoka, and other prominent speakers—including Senator Effiong Bob and Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Captain Iniobong Ekong—hailed Governor Eno’s inclusive leadership, citing it as the driving force behind a positive turnaround in the party’s fortunes and widespread development across the State.

The meeting drew a large attendance of State Executive Council members, political figures, and a diverse cross-section of Nsit Ubium residents.
