Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident on Saturday, July 20, along the Daura-Katsina Road, but is reported to be in good health and stable condition. An official statement from the Government House in Katsina confirmed the incident, assuring the public that no serious injuries were sustained.

The accident occurred while Governor Radda was on official duties. Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, released a statement stating, “Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura–Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State.”

The statement directly addressed concerns, adding, “We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained.”

Governor Radda, according to the press release, remains in high spirits and has expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as to the citizens of Katsina and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.

Earlier reports by Okay.ng had suggested the governor was taken to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura and treated for a fracture. However, the official statement from the Government House contradicts this, emphasizing the minor nature of the incident and the absence of serious injuries.
