After 20 months, Olufemi Soneye has officially resigned as the Chief Corporate Communications Officer for the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd). He cited a desire to focus more on his family and personal commitments as the reason for his departure.
In a message shared with colleagues and stakeholders, Soneye expressed gratitude for the support and professionalism he received, acknowledging his team’s vital role in enhancing NNPC Ltd’s public image.
He described his tenure as rewarding and a privilege, thanking everyone for the trust and opportunities extended to him.
Soneye also affirmed his continued loyalty to NNPC Ltd and urged media and communications professionals to maintain responsible and constructive reporting in support of the company’s goals. As of now, NNPC Ltd has not announced a successor for the position.
