Patronage that Inspires: Koko Dan Lauds Asuquo Ekpenyong’s Patronage of LubX Engine Oil

Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, representing the Cross River South Senatorial District, has earned praises from a Cross River Born entrepreneur for his swift support of his indigenous business. Mr. Koko Dan, a prominent native of Obudu Local Government Area and founder of the LubX Oil Nigeria brand, recently took to his Facebook page to laud the Senator’s commitment to promoting his products.

The endorsement comes after Mr. Koko Dan reached out to the Senator with a direct appeal for patronage, an action he admitted he undertook with little expectation of a quick response, particularly as he is not a constituent of the Southern Senatorial District.

Mr. Koko Dan, known for his strong advocacy for fellow Cross Riverians, was pleasantly surprised by the Senator’s immediate action.

In a now-viral Facebook post, he detailed the prompt response he received, “Yesterday at approximately 10:00 a.m., I extended a patronage appeal to Senator Asuquo Ekpeyong, requesting that he support my brand, LubX Oil Nigeria. Given that I am not from the southern Senatorial District, I was not convinced that he would comply,” Mr. Koko Dan wrote.

“However, to my surprise within an hour he made the necessary arrangements and I received a notification from my bank confirming his order of LubX Oil Nigeria. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the distinguished Senator Asuquo Ekpeyong for his prompt response to my appeal.”

The Senator’s gesture is being viewed by many as a significant show of commitment to supporting the local economy and fostering a spirit of unity among entrepreneurs across the state’s senatorial districts. By patronizing LubX Oil, Senator Ekpenyong has not only boosted the morale of one business owner but also set a commendable example for other public office holders to invest in locally manufactured goods and services.

The senator’s gesture shows the role political leaders can play in providing a market for indigenous Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). Local business leaders hope that this high-profile patronage will encourage wider institutional and individual support for Cross River-born brands, helping them to grow, create jobs and contribute meaningfully to the state and nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

This action aligns with the broader national push for economic diversification and strengthening local content. LubX Oil Nigeria, which boasts a 2025 All Rights Reserved trademark, operates online at www.lubxoil.ng
