Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared the full support of the Niger Delta for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, citing numerous impactful projects across the region. 
Speaking at the 25th anniversary of NDDC in Port Harcourt, Akpabio praised Tinubu for establishing universities, boosting development, and recognizing the region’s contributions to the nation’s wealth.
He decried the constant leadership changes in NDDC that have led to over 14,700 abandoned projects, calling for continuity and praising the current MD, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, for steering the Commission in the right direction.
Former President Goodluck Jonathan also commended Tinubu for ensuring stability in the NDDC, while Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to the region through mega projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway.
