TEHRAN – Amid escalating tensions with Israel, reports suggest that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has designated three potential successors in the event of his assassination. Notably his son, Mojtaba, has reportedly been excluded from this list of potential replacements, allegedly due to fears of assassination.
Sources indicate that Khamenei is currently hiding within a bunker, allegedly due to fears for his personal safety. It is reported that he is limiting his communications to only a select few trusted aides.
While the identities of the three chosen clerics, described as powerful figures, have not yet been publicly disclosed, this move underscores the gravity of the current situation within Iran. The decision to omit his son from the succession plan is being interpreted by some as an effort by Khamenei to prevent the perception of a dynastic transfer of power.
The revelation points to a quiet but significant preparation within Iran for a potential sudden disappearance of its top leader, signaling deep concerns over the ongoing regional conflict.
