The Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (CRSMEDA) today began an advisory inspection and site verification exercise for small businesses across the State. These businesses recently applied for the State Government’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) registration initiative, a key part of the Governor’s People First MSME development agenda.


The CRSMEDA team, led by Director-General/Chief Executive Officer, Great Ogban, is working alongside a NAFDAC team led by Regulatory Officer Prince Owai Omaleko. The goal of this joint inspection is twofold: to confirm the official address and physical location of the business premises, and to advise owners on structuring their production facilities to meet the minimum standards required for NAFDAC certification.
This advisory visit is a crucial preparatory step before the final production inspection. Businesses that successfully complete both stages will then be issued their NAFDAC certificates.
