Prof. Adedoja Lauds Governor Otu’s ‘Steadfast Vision’ at 66, Commits TCTI to Sustained Teacher Retraining

Professor Taoheed Adedoja, Director-General of the Cross River State-owned Teachers Continuous Training Institute (TCTI), Biase, has extended warm felicitations to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, on the occasion of his 66th birth anniversary.

In a goodwill message, Professor Adedoja described Governor Otu as a “steadfast visionary governor, great politician and determined leader” who is dedicated to propelling the state forward through strategic developmental innovations.

The TCTI Director-General utilized the Governor’s birthday to commend his commitment to educational development in the state, particularly his determination to undertake the comprehensive retraining of teachers in various subject areas to enhance classroom teaching and learning across the state.

Professor Adedoja, a frontline educationist underscored the governor’s focus on preparing the state’s educational workforce for the challenges of the 21st century.

“The Otu-led administration has tremendously undertaken the training of educators in the state through digital literacy empowerment to promote classroom pedagogy,” Adedoja stated. He further noted that TCTI Biase, a foremost institution in teacher development in the country, has successfully trained thousands of primary and secondary school teachers since its establishment four years ago.

He praised the progress achieved under the current administration, saying: “Since the commencement of your administration, you have proven to be a reflection of growth and development, peace and progress in bringing developments to Cross Riverians.”

The Director-General lauded the Governor’s strength and tenacity as he attains the milestone of 66.

“66 represents the resilience of a sexagenarian, and so on this occasion, we at the Cross River TCTI pray to the Almighty God to continue to keep you in elegance and grace, filled with more success and happiness as we remain committed to teacher development in the state,” he concluded.
