The Cross River State delegation is actively participating in the ongoing 4th African Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Forum in Abuja. This year’s theme, “Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa, as declared open by His Excellency, Sen. Kashim Shettima GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, highlights the critical role of innovation and accessibility in strengthening MSMEs across the continent.
Welcoming participants from around the world to the 4th African Union Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Forum, Temitola Adekunle-Johnson expressed optimism for MSME development in the region. He serves as the Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, Office of the Vice President, and is also the Host Country Coordinator and Secretary of the Forum’s Committee.
Led by Great Ogban, Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA), the delegation aims to capitalize on the state’s recent recognition as the most improved in MSME development.
The day concluded with a productive introductory meeting with Dr. Ebiekure Jasper Eradiri, Head of SME at the African Union, where they discussed strategies to enhance MSME opportunities in Cross River State.
