Nigerian Super Eagles Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali Empowers Community Youths with 50 Tricycles

Nigerian Super Eagles goalie Stanley Nwabali, has given back to his community in a major way by donating 50 tricycles, popularly known as “Keke,” to young people in his hometown.

The heartwarming gesture took place in Rivers State, where the football star hails from. Nwabali, who recently gained national praise for his performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), said the donation was part of his personal commitment to youth empowerment and poverty reduction.

“I came from this community, and I know what it means to struggle. This is my little way of giving hope and creating opportunities for our youths,” he said during the presentation ceremony.

The 50 tricycles were handed over to selected beneficiaries, most of whom are unemployed youths seeking a means of livelihood. The initiative is expected to not only provide them with daily income but also encourage self-reliance.

“I didn’t want to just play football and leave. I want my career to inspire and make an impact. These Keke may look small, but they can change lives,” Nwabali added.

Community leaders, elders, and youth representatives praised the footballer for remembering his roots and giving back to the society that raised him.

“This is what true role models do,” one local leader said. “Stanley has shown he is not only a great goalkeeper but also a man with a big heart.”

The event ended with cheers and gratitude from the beneficiaries, many of whom said the gift had given them a fresh start in life.
