The Venue Sub Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, held its inaugural meeting over the weekend and carried out an inspection of the proposed venue for the event.
The meeting was chaired by the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, who leads the sub committee. He stressed the need for careful planning and close coordination to ensure a smooth and successful convention.
Also present at the meeting were the Vice Chairman of the committee and Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, the Secretary of the committee, Usoro Akpabio, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South South Development Commission, as well as the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh, and other stakeholders.
After the meeting, members of the committee visited the proposed venue to assess the facilities and logistics needed for the successful hosting of the 2026 APC convention.
