Dr. Blessing Egbara Joins National Women Mega Empowerment Rally, Signals Alignment On Women Centered Agenda

Hon. Dr. Blessing Egbara today joined prominent national figures and thousands of women leaders at the National Women Mega Empowerment Rally 2026, held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja. The high profile event, organized by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, brought together stakeholders from across the country under the theme: “The Power of 10 Million: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice.”

The rally, which underscores a nationwide push for women’s economic empowerment and social inclusion, featured distinguished personalities including Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, who served as Special Guest of Honour, and the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.

Organizers clarified that while the “10 Million” initiative reflects a broader nationwide mobilization goal, the Abuja gathering hosted selected delegates, with participation echoed simultaneously across all states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The event also served as a strategic platform for reinforcing support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly its focus on inclusive growth and grassroots empowerment. Activities included a Unity March and discussions around a proposed National Charter of Demands, aimed at strengthening women’s roles in governance and economic development across Nigeria’s 9,410 wards.

For Hon. Dr. Blessing Egbara, a frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Obubura/Etung Federal Constituency, her presence at the rally signals more than participation, it reflects alignment with a national movement prioritizing women’s advancement.

Political observers note that Egbara’s engagement at such a pivotal gathering reinforces her campaign narrative centered on inclusive representation, grassroots empowerment, and policy-driven leadership. By associating with initiatives that directly impact women at the community level, she positions herself as a candidate attuned to both national priorities and local needs.

Speaking briefly on the sidelines of the event, Egbara emphasized the importance of translating national empowerment frameworks into tangible benefits at the constituency level. She highlighted her commitment to ensuring that women in Obubura/Etung are not left behind in ongoing socio-economic reforms.

As the race toward the upcoming House of Representatives elections intensifies, Egbara’s visibility at national policy-driven events like this rally could prove strategic, strengthening her credentials as a bridge between federal initiatives and grassroots impact.

Her participation underscores a broader message: that representation in the National Assembly must not only echo national agendas but actively deliver them to the people they are designed to serve.
