Inter Milan Agree Personal Terms With Atalanta Talisman Ademola Lookman, Official Bid Ready

Serie A runners-up Inter Milan are reportedly on the verge of securing a major summer signing, with sources indicating they have agreed personal terms with Atalanta’s highly sought-after forward, Ademola Lookman.

Sky Sports reports that the Nerazzurri are preparing to lodge an official bid for the Nigerian international.

Despite Atalanta’s hefty €50 million valuation, Inter, now under the guidance of Cristian Chivu, remain confident they can acquire Lookman for a more favorable fee, reportedly around €40 million. This figure, according to Inter’s assessment, would not necessitate further player sales to facilitate the transfer.

Inter has actively accelerated talks with Lookman’s representatives, laying crucial groundwork for the move. The player’s apparent willingness to join the San Siro giants significantly strengthens Inter’s bargaining position.

However, the primary hurdle remains convincing Atalanta to part ways with their standout performer. While Lookman’s approval is a significant step, it may not be enough on its own, as Inter will still require the goodwill of the Bergamo club to finalize the transfer.

Ademola Lookman is considered Inter’s “dream signing” for the summer window, although the club continues to monitor other attacking options including Lois Openda, Nicolas Gonzalez, Jadon Sancho and Christopher Nkunku.
