A massive crowd turned out in a vibrant show of solidarity to welcome Hon. Oden Ewa into the Central Senatorial District stakeholders’ screening exercise in Cross River State.
The event signals growing momentum for Ewa’s senatorial ambition ahead of the 2027 elections. Hon. Emmanuel Abeng, Commissioner 1 of the Cross River State Forestry Commission and Chairman of the Central Voice for Odenism 2027, led the turnout.
Supporters drawn from various communities across the Central Senatorial District thronged the venue, chanting slogans and waving banners celebrating Ewa’s leadership and track record as Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations. Many described the gathering as a clear sign of acceptance and readiness to back a candidate they believe can deliver effective representation in the Senate.
Widely regarded as a progressive leader with strong youth appeal, Ewa expressed gratitude for the overwhelming reception. His recent tours and engagements across the district have positioned him as a frontrunner for the APC ticket in the Central zone.
Stakeholders described the screening exercise as both successful and a unifying moment for the district. With Abeng steering the “Odenism 2027” movement, the event further strengthens Ewa’s coalition as political activities intensify toward 2027.
Observers noted that the warm welcome reflects deepening confidence in Ewa’s ability to champion the interests of the Central district at the national level.
