Nigerian Teen, Nafida Aliyu Wins Global English Competition

A 17-year-old student from Yobe State, Nigeria, has been named the world’s best in English at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London.

Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, who represented Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Yobe, triumphed over more than 20,000 students from 69 countries.

Aminu’s victory is particularly notable as she competed against many students from native English-speaking nations. The TeenEagle competition is a globally recognized contest that tests students on their English language skills.
