Pro-fitness, a leading health and wellness brand in Calabar, is gearing up for its 10th annual Independence Day fitness walk, themed “Everywhere Good.” As part of their preparations, the management of Profitness recently paid a courtesy visit to the Cross River State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency (MEDA).
This year’s milestone celebration will go beyond the traditional fitness walk, incorporating a series of impactful outreach events designed to benefit various community groups. Dr. Paul Njan, Chief Executive Officer and Project Lead for Profitness, outlined the initiatives, which include the distribution of sanitary pads to young girls, school bags and sandals to boys, and a medical outreach program for the general public. A key highlight will also be a pitch competition among school children aimed at fostering entrepreneurial skills.
Dr. Njan emphasized that the visit to MEDA was crucial due to the agency’s strong commitment to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) development. He specifically cited MEDA’s “People First Enterprise Clubs and Competitions,” which align perfectly with Pro-fitness’s goal of nurturing business development mindsets among secondary school students.
Great Ogban, Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of MEDA, commended the Profitness team for their decade-long consistency and officially endorsed the event on behalf of the agency. Nissi Ibiang, Manager, Corporate Affairs and Client Services at MEDA, further elaborated on the agency’s relevant activities in light of the partnership request.
Pro-fitness, established over ten years ago, has been dedicated to encouraging the public to embrace fitness and active lifestyles for better health. The Profitness team in attendance also included Simeone Ntino, Umoh Mercy, and Iquo Cobham.
