Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has appointed Dr Betta Edu as Director of Finance and Fundraising for the Bassey Otu/Peter Odey 2027 APC Governorship Campaign Council.
Dr Edu is one of the directors in the campaign council, which comprises 43 directorates and 4,412 members drawn from across the 18 local government areas of Cross River State.
The appointment comes shortly after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu inaugurated Dr Edu as Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, placing her in a national role ahead of the 2027 general elections.
An indigene of Adadama in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State, Dr Edu is a prominent APC stakeholder whose political engagements span both state and national levels.
