Saudi Arabia to Unveil $1 Billion Floating Stadium in NEOM’s The Line for 2034 FIFA World Cup

Saudi Arabia is poised to transform sports architecture with a $1 billion stadium suspended 1,150 feet in the air as part of its futuristic megacity, The Line. Scheduled for completion in 2032, this groundbreaking arena is set to be a key venue for the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Designed by the renowned Bjarke Ingels Group, the stadium will boast a 46,000-seat capacity and operate entirely on solar and wind energy, embodying a commitment to sustainability. Access to the venue will be a novel experience, as there will be no traditional roads. Instead, fans will be transported via high-speed elevators and AI-powered vehicles.

This gravity-defying project not only redefines the stadium experience but also showcases Saudi Arabia’s ambition to blend technology, sustainability, and urban planning into a new form of reality. It’s being hailed as the “Stadium of the Future.”
