The race, held today, June 24, 2025, saw Sekgodiso dominate the field, showcasing the form that earned her the indoor world title.
Hot on her heels, Botswana’s Oratile Nowe ran a brilliant race to secure second place, setting a new Botswana National Record with a time of 1:57.49. Her performance marks a significant milestone for her career and her country’s athletics.
