‘With Immediate Effect’: Bauchi Governor Sacks Women Affairs Commissioner

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Takko, has been relieved of her duties by the state Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed.

The decision was announced in a statement on Monday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.

The statement, which described the move as part of “minor cabinet changes,” did not provide a specific reason for her immediate removal.

“The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs & Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect,” the statement read in parts.

Gidado also conveyed the Governor’s gratitude for Takko’s service to the state and wished her success in her future endeavors.
