The representative of Governor Bassey Otu and the leader of the Cross River State Delegation at the ongoing United Nations 80th General Assembly in New York, Rt. Hon. Dr Peter Odey, is scheduled to speak at a high-level side event hosted by the Belcrest Institute, an organization committed to leadership, governance, education, and development. The event is themed “Partnership for effective governance.”.
Leveraging his rich experience as a former United Nations Conflict Advisor prior to his entry into politics, Dr. Odey will, at the global event, deliver remarks on the sub-theme “Strengthening Governance for Sustainable Investment.”
He will feature alongside other distinguished participants, including Anna Faith, Head of the Women’s Empowerment Principles Secretariat at UN Women; Amb. Dennis Antoine, former Ambassador/Permanent Representative of Grenada to the UN; Andrew Thorburn, Senior Trade & Development Expert; Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu of Nigeria; and Amb.
