MNK: Cubana Chief Priest Issues Public Warning to Dep Speaker Ben Kalu Over Deleted Message

Socialite and celebrity entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has publicly issued a strong warning to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, following a tense exchange stemming from the ongoing detention of Nnamdi Kanu.

The public feud began after Cubana Chief Priest voiced his dissatisfaction with a recent court ruling regarding the IPOB leader, threatening President Bola Tinubu with massive electoral losses in the Southeast if Kanu is not released.

The confrontation escalated this morning when the socialite claimed he woke up to a message sent and subsequently deleted by the Deputy Speaker. This prompted a lengthy, fiery post on social media, directly challenging the lawmaker.

“Woke Up To See That The Deputy Speaker Wrote Me By 7:08 Am & Then Deleted It. I’m Worried, I’m Scared, I’m Shivering But Yet I’m Fearless Because I Know My Name Is Chibuike,” the post began.

“Sir If You Come For Me God Will Embarrass You, Just Face Your Work & Do It Well, If I Was To Be Deputy Speaker I Will Do Better Than You.”

Focus on Southeast Development and Kanu’s Detention

The core of the socialite’s criticism was the failure of Southeast leaders, including Kalu, to address the region’s economic and security challenges, which he explicitly linked to Nnamdi Kanu’s continued detention.

Cubana Chief Priest lamented the collapse of his businesses and his inability to safely visit his country home in the Southeast for five years.

“Businesses in the Southeast crashed and that’s where I have my major investments and peace of mind. I’m wounded already, I’m in pain,” he wrote.

He urged the Deputy Speaker to leverage his position to achieve peace, suggesting Kalu focus on uniting Governors, summoning Ministers, and securing the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

Despite the heated criticism, the socialite concluded by attempting to soften the blow, framing his message as a necessary intervention from the people who elected him.

“No F!ght Me Oh. I Be Your Boy, I Love You & You Know That It’s Just A Wake Up Call Sir No Be !nsvlt [insult] Because No Be You Get Nigeria. Na We Put You There So We Suppose Dey Ginger You,” he concluded, adding the popular maxim: “To Whom Much Is Given Much Is Expected.”

The Deputy Speaker’s office has not yet issued a public response to the socialite’s claims and public challenge.
