Hon. Oden Ewa, the leading contender for the Cross River Central Senatorial seat, was on Monday, August 24, 2026, conferred with the ‘Most Supportive Leader’ Award by the National Association of Business Education Students, University of Calabar Chapter, (NABES – UCC).
Presenting the award to the APC senatorial hopeful at his country home in Ugep, NABES -UCC president, Comrade Okoi Luther Oka, said the association was honoured to recognize Hon. Oden Ewa as “the most students supportive leader”, and his commitment to the unity, culture and development of his people.
Comrade Oka then appealed to the students community in the Central Senatorial District to give the APC candidate massive support in the 2027 election. He recalled that Hon. Oden Ewa in his private capacity has rendered enormous financial assistance to thousands of students in primary and secondary schools, as well as students in tertiary institutions undertaking undergraduate and post graduate studies.
The NABES – UCC President therefore wondered the immense impact Hon. Oden Ewa would create in the lives of students when he becomes the senator representing the Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
Receiving the award, the APC flag bearer expressed appreciation to NABES – UCC for recognizing his contribution to human capacity development. He said the award will spur him to do more, even as he urged the students community to rally behind leaders who prioritize their interest and welfare at all times rather than gravitating towards politicians who realize their values only during election period.
