The U.S. Secret Service confirmed Tuesday that it is actively investigating a propaganda video broadcast by Iranian state television that appears to threaten the life of President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump.
“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring said in an official statement. “Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
The nearly three-minute video was aired over the weekend on Channel 3 of Iranian state television (IRIB) and widely shared by media outlets affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Opening with an English-language graphic asking, “Where to kill Barron Trump?”, the broadcast relies on computer-generated animation, stylized maps, and digital models to visually track the 20-year-old.
The footage purports to detail public locations associated with him—including Trump Tower in New York and his university campus—while pointing out alleged Secret Service positions and escort vehicle routes. It also claims that an individual bypassed security to gather personal details on him and alleges that a $10 million bounty has been placed on his life. Federal authorities noted that none of the surveillance claims or bounty offers in the video have been independently verified.
Federal law enforcement sources indicate that the video is part of an escalating campaign of psychological tactics aimed at President Trump and his family. Just last month, IRGC-linked outlets released a similar video purporting to track the daily routines and security measures of First Lady Melania Trump.
Tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain exceptionally high amid ongoing regional conflict. Hardline Iranian commentators and state media have frequently issued graphic threats targeting top U.S. officials, consistently framing the messaging as retribution for past military operations.
Neither the White House nor representatives for the Trump family have issued formal public statements regarding the specific claims made in the broadcast. Security protocols around all members of the First Family remain under continuous federal assessment.
