Iran Lawmaker Warns Trump and Netanyahu Are No Longer Safe, Calls Revenge a ‘Global Obligation’

A senior Iranian lawmaker has issued a direct threat against US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying the White House “will no longer be safe” and that seeking revenge for the killing of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has become a global duty.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, an influential member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security Committee, stated that Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “their agents” should expect imminent retribution.

“The hand of divine revenge will be carried out by the free people of the world,” Boroujerdi said, adding that “no place in the world, not even the White House, will be safe” for the American and Israeli leaders, Boroujerdi stated.

The lawmaker framed the threatened retaliation not as a limited state response, but as a wider movement.

“Revenge for the killing of our former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has become an obligation for his followers and all free people around the world,” Boroujerdi said. “This is no longer a limited response. It has become a global movement.”

His comments come amid heightened tensions between Iran, the US and Israel following months of military exchanges, sanctions and covert operations in the Middle East. Iran has repeatedly vowed to avenge the 2020 killing of former IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani and more recently, has referenced Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in its rhetoric, though Khamenei remains alive and in office. It was not immediately clear if Boroujerdi was referring to a different cleric or using symbolic language.

US and Israeli officials have not responded to Boroujerdi’s statements as of press time. The White House and the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office declined to comment.

Security analysts say such remarks from senior Iranian officials are intended to signal resolve to domestic audiences while raising the risk of escalation in an already volatile region.

The US State Department has previously warned that threats against American officials and facilities will be met with “severe consequences.”

The comments also risk further isolating Tehran diplomatically, as European and regional powers continue to push for de-escalation in the Gulf.
