Bishop Eyoanwan Otu Acknowledged for Empowering Aides and Fostering Professional Growth

Mr Kenneth Anam, an aide to the First Lady of Cross River State, Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. Eyoanwan-Itam Bassey Otu, has lauded her leadership style, noting her commitment to capacity building and results-oriented administration. Anam’s comments shed light on the First Lady’s approach to duty delegation and her focus on developing the skills of her team.

Reflecting on his two years under her tutelage, an elated Anam described the experience as “beautifully challenging and provoking,” awakening dormant abilities within him. He emphasized Her Excellency’s “voracious appetite and penchant for quality, timely, honest and effective delivery,” noting her highly result-oriented nature.

He recounted significant opportunities, including representing the State alongside the First Lady of Nigeria at the Villa in Abuja, which he described as a “thrilling experience.”

Anam also highlighted numerous privileges of “anchoring, executing and curating solutions for activities, programmes and projects” under her “strict standards and leadership.” Beyond the tangible benefits, the young appointee expressed deep satisfaction in “executing tasks and delivering on mandates and goals.”

Kenneth Anam specifically cited “time and people management” as a crucial skill developed through his work, particularly during events like the recent Free Medical Outreach 7.0, which provided treatment to over 5,000 people. He noted that coordinating large crowds requires “passion, strength and patience,” attributes he feels he has mastered.
