Delta Local Government Service Commission Unveils New Official Vehicles

The Delta State Local Government Service Commission has taken a significant step towards strengthening its administrative operations with the presentation of newly acquired official vehicles to enhance the mobility and effectiveness of its personnel.

Speaking during commissioning and presentation of the newly acquired vehicles, the Commission Chairman, Hon. Joseph Otirhue, expressed his gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, for making the initiative a reality and also his support and commitment towards strengthening the Unified Local Government Service in the State.

While commending the 25 Local Government Councils’ Chairmen in the State for their support, cooperation and contributions towards the acquisition of the vehicles, Otirhue stated that, the vehicles will significantly improve the mobility of the Commission’s personnel and enhance the effective discharge of their duties, particularly in the areas of monitoring, supervision, training and other activities connected with the Unified Local Government Service across Delta State.

Speaking further, Hon. Otirhue described the development as an important milestone in the Commission’s history as this initiative and effort will strengthen her operational capacity. He noted that, providing officials with the necessary logistics would improve productivity and enable them to perform their statutory duties more effectively.

The Chairman reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for her personnel to carry out their duties efficiently and contribute meaningfully to effective local government administration and service delivery.

The presentation was witnessed by the directors, staff and other stakeholders, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative, describing the provision of the vehicles as a welcome development that would further strengthen the operations of the Local Government Service Commission.
