Member representing Yala 1 State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly and Chairman House Committee on Public Accounts, Hon. Odey Brian on Monday successfully participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) screening exercise for aspirants seeking election into the Cross River State House of Assembly.

The screening exercise, which took place at the Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar, attracted a large turnout of party faithful, stakeholders, aspirants, and supporters from across the state, reflecting the growing interest ahead of the party primaries.
Hon. Odey, who is seeking a second term to represent the good people of Yala 1 State Constituency, was warmly received by supporters and party members during the exercise. His appearance before the screening panel was described as smooth and impressive, as he reportedly demonstrated competence, experience, and a clear understanding of legislative responsibilities and grassroots representation.
Members of the screening panel were said to be highly impressed with his presentation, political maturity, and commitment to the ideals of the APC and the development of his constituency.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, Hon. Odey expressed appreciation to God, his supporters, and party leaders for their continued encouragement and confidence in his aspiration. He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, quality legislation, and people-oriented leadership if given the mandate again.
The APC screening exercise forms part of the party’s preparations ahead of the forthcoming primaries and general elections in Cross River State.
