Interior Designer Deborah Moses Murdered by Ex-Boyfriend in Lagos

A young and promising interior designer, Deborah Moses, also known as Deb’rah Porsche, has been brutally murdered in her Lagos home by her ex-boyfriend, months after their relationship ended.

The suspect, identified as Lintex, a native of Otukpo in Benue State, reportedly gained entry to Moses’s residence on Wednesday night by posing as a dispatch rider to deceive estate security. According to accounts shared by activist Meddy Olotu, when security became suspicious, the suspect scaled the fence to get into the compound.

Upon reaching Moses’s apartment, he allegedly attempted to cause an explosion by cutting the cooking gas pipe outside the house. When that failed, he broke into the apartment, confronted Moses, and stabbed her multiple times. Neighbors restrained the suspect after the attack and handed him over to the police.

Moses’s sister revealed that the couple had broken up over a year ago, but the suspect refused to accept the separation. “He keeps making statements like, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” she said, recounting the threats.

According to her sister, Moses, who had recently completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, was just beginning her career as an interior decorator. “She was only trying to find her feet when this tragedy struck,” she added.

The suspect is currently in police custody. Moses’s family and activists are demanding justice, urging authorities to ensure the case is not forgotten.
