C’River Deputy Governor Odey Returns from Diplomatic Mission at the UN General Assembly 80th Session

Cross River State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, has returned to Calabar following an impactful diplomatic mission representing Governor Bassey Otu and leading the State’s delegation at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

On the sidelines of the Assembly, Deputy Governor Odey participated in a dialogue organized by Belcrest Institute on the theme “Partnership for Effective Governance.”

During his presentation, he emphasized that continuity in government projects is crucial for strengthening governance and building citizens’ trust. He also highlighted the Cross River State Government’s policies and programs designed to create an enabling environment for collaboration and partnerships.

Deputy Governor Odey further engaged in Climate Week NYC 2025, reaffirming Cross River State’s commitment to accelerate climate action and explore sustainable opportunities. The engagement culminated in a dinner with members of the international business community, which seeks to strengthen partnerships for the development of the state.
