The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, joined the state’s ‘People First’ Governor, His Excellency, Apostle Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, and his wife, Bishop Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, at the Sixth Solemn Assembly of the state.
Held on Saturday, 5th July 2025, at the Calabar International Convention Centre, this edition, the first for 2025, was themed “The Lord Reigns.”
The event was graced by the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem (represented by his wife, Mrs. Nelly Elvert Ayambem), Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, and members of the State Executive Council.
Other attendees were National and State Assembly members, Local Government Council Chairmen and Vice Chairmen, top federal, state, and local government appointees, religious and traditional leaders, as well as women and youth groups.
