His Excellency Professor Ben Ayade, CON kindness and generosity started as far back as over 3 decades ago in the early 1990s when in his private capacity, he initiated scholarships, bursaries and other community projects for his people.
As Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Ayade again expanded his program to include feeding of the aged people by supplementing their feeding across the Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State alongside the ongoing scholarships programs, bursary and cash support across the five LGAs which I and many others were beneficiaries.
As Governor of Cross River State from 2015-2023, he expanded the government to over 30,000 appointees across the state to put food on their tables to ensure that people didn’t go to bed in an empty stomach.
His ardent critics or their relations weren’t left out of this scheme. Almost every family in Cross River State were beneficiaries of this program either directly or indirectly. This model has since been copied by the federal government during the Covid-19, including many other states like Rivers, Lagos, Akwa Ibok to mention but a few.
Senator Professor Ben Ayade is a deep thinker with versatility of ideas. Under his 8-year reign as Governor children of MR NOBODY were prominently appointed or elected into strategic positions in his government. They’re now state and national figures.
All this was to help reduce poverty, encourage participation and afford parents the opportunity to enroll their wards in schools, trade and other investment opportunities leading to reduction in crime rate.
Senator Professor Ayade is a system purifier, a man with a good heart who always places his people first. We commend his dedication to his constituents, evident in his impactful programs as both senator and Governor. His people miss him dearly and urge Senator Prince Bassey Otu and the party to grant him the right of first refusal in 2027, valuing his proven track record.
