Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has distributed over 100 vehicles to judges, board members and commissioned members to ease transportation challenges and boost service delivery.
The governor made the symbolic presentation of the vehicles on Thursday at the Government House, Minna.
He said the distribution became necessary to address the transportation difficulties faced by the officials and urged beneficiaries to use the vehicles judiciously for effective service delivery.
Beneficiaries included the Niger State Secondary Education Board, Civil Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, House of Assembly Service Commission, Law Reform Commission, Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Niger State Universal Basic Education Board and the Judicial Service Commission.
Governor Bago is popularly referred to as the “Farmer Governor” due to his many agricultural exploits in the State. Governor Bago has won multiple awards in agriculture and has spearheaded the training of citizens in the agro-allied sector.
