THE TIME IS NOW…

Barr. Vena Ikem’s ambition to return as State Chairman is nothing short of an insult to the South. This is the same man who has consistently belittled and disrespected our zone with reckless comments and actions.
The height of his arrogance was exposed when he shamelessly moved to erase or remove the names of our most revered leaders, Senator Gershom Bassey and His Excellency Liyel Imoke, from the party platforms. Not stopping there, he had the audacity to petition the national leadership for their suspension and demanded that they, alongside other respected party executives, be removed from the delegates list.
This is not only reckless but a direct assault on the dignity of the South, and the former Governor and Central. For him to treat our leaders in such a manner is the peak of insolence. And for any leader from our zones to support him in this treachery is a betrayal of our collective pride.
Let it be clear, we may tolerate his personal insults, and humiliation towards us as growing leaders, but when he extends such contempt to our leaders, he crosses a red line. We will not accept it, not now, not ever.
